Ways to Give & Naming Opportunities

Cash

Cash gifts are the most convenient way of supporting Columbus Technical College and have the benefit of an immediate impact on the College and its students. Checks made out to Columbus Technical College Foundation, Inc. can be directed as restricted or unrestricted.

Pledges

The Tomorrow's Workforce... Today campaign offers the opportunity to make a larger gift possible by spreading payments over a five year period while potentially maximizing tax effectiveness.

Matching Gifts Programs

Many corporations have matching gift programs that multiply the value of gifts from their employees, officers, retirees, and spouses. Typically, matching gift forms are available from the company.

Stocks and Bonds

Stocks, bonds, or other forms of securities that have appreciated in value offer tax advantages. Marketable securities are deductible to the extent of their market value on the date of the gifting and are subject to the usual charitable gift limitations.

Real Estate

Donations of tangible property and real estate may be of great value to Columbus Technical College. Consultation with Tomorrow's Workforce... Today campaign staff is recommended to assure the usefulness of such a gift.

Life Insurance

Life insurance can provide the opportunity to make a substantial gift. A policy that is no longer required for its original purpose may be transferred to Columbus Technical College Foundation, Inc. New policies naming the Foundation as a beneficiary may be developed as a part of long term planned giving.

Faculty Endowment

The Columbus Technical College Foundation Faculty Excellence Award is an endowment to recognize and supplement teaching excellence. Funds contributed to this endowment will be invested and the earnings will be used annually to recognize and award faculty members. This allows contributions from many sources to be pooled, thus maximizing the investment return.
