It is an exciting time to be a part of our technical college in Columbus. Recognizing the important role that Columbus Technical College plays in the development of our community, the Columbus Technical College Foundation is launching its campaign of Tomorrow's Workforce... Today.
Columbus Technical College is unique among educational institutions in its mission and its way of doing business. The College is instrumental in marketing our community to business prospects, providing training to new and expanding companies, and assisting with an array of community projects. In doing all of these things, we never forget that our core business is workforce development and increasing the productivity of our business community.
Today, our focus is on a healthcare system in need and its impact on our community. Over the last 25-30 years, virtually every new or expanding company in our region has been the beneficiary of the services of Columbus technical College and the Georgia Quick Start Program. Many of these were manufacturing operations; several years later as the community changed, our service industries were included. The same flexible and responsive approach and creative thinking that has served us so well in other sectors will be needed to meet our challenges in healthcare.
